How would it sound with just a small 5in full range drive unit such as on Pleiades Auratone 5C type speakers?
The pyramid tilt sides is an advantage for table mounting as drive unit axis can be arranged to be towards listener's ears.
Linoleum would act as a membrane bass internal absorber but also as an external bass radiator.
Pyramids can be made by cutting a flat sheet to the shape of a pentagon. In case of linoleum only certain depth of material should be cut as it can then be bent and still be stable.
Or another experiment could be with just 2 surfaces from bent plexiglass. Just bottom base and tilted front panel. So in effect an open baffle sound and letting table sympathetic radiation (rather vibration by structure transmission) cover bass or deep bass?
