If chords can be represented by vectors...

and vectors have or are magnitude and direction...

then music might be metaphorically at least be thought of as something flying inside our brain while changing direction of flight at each chord change.

For example:

Old and Wise - Alan Parsons Project

Harmony of introduction:

A
G6
F7
E7
F7
E7
D7
E7
A3#

Taking for example the first 3 chords:

A C E
G B E
F A E

Ie

1 3 5
-1 2 5
-2 1 5

ie

(1.3,5)
(-1.2.5)
(-2,1,5)

If we correspond the first number to length towards right, the seconds number to length away from us, the 3rd number to height we can visualize the direction of the vector.

Could music (or its perception) travel inside our brain like a seagul changing direction of flight at each chord change? Does change of direction affects different parts of brain related to such direction?

The idea of flight comes from Vicky.
