A way to compensate for exceess proximity bass by reducing anode voltage

For example using the above Pleiades V6 schematic and reducing the anode voltage.


The lower the anode voltage from 4 volts up to 800mV the the less the bass response the more a singer can get closer to a directional mic. Signal output remains more or less constant as at lower anode voltage the gain is reduced.


A variable reries resistor to anode supply can make proximity focusing adjustment. A shunt capacitor will keep the voltage supply constant.
