Played some old almost new old stock Vivaldi records from LIFE series.
Setup:
Metz turntable - Shure 75 cartridge - Metz integrated amplifier - 4 Metz Philips 3 way speakers
Cartridge connections to the tone arm shell had been cleaned with cotton buds and methylated spirit.
It was I Musici playing the 4 seasons - Vivaldi
Amazing sound from this 80's setup.
Who could say but it seems that analog sends clearly to the cleaners digital of any resolution?
Hard to believe how these records sounded. Made half a century ago? Not the slightest hint of noise while music played proudly loud and full of detail throughout the extremes of the audio spectrum.
