Pleiades one transistor emitter? follower power amplifier schematic with 2N3055

Schematic of Pleiades 1 transistor emitter follower power amplifier operating in class A (electrons flowing all the time). Not sure this is emmiter follower. It sounds great. How about connecting speaker on the upper side of the schematic and bias rssitor from Vb? Would it be the same circuit looking like a collector follower?


It sounds loud and transiently clear around many rooms.


(Now playing the CD album Ingenue - K. D. Lang). Sony CD player Walkman is directly connected without an external coupling capacitor from its line out to base. A Pleiades (40Ω,2.2μF) ie 40Ω in series with 2.2μF is connected in parallel with CD Walkman bridged mono line out to increase a bit bass).


A fuse should be connected in series with battery for safety


A Pleiades (R,C) filter can be used in parallel with input to adjust brightness to natural


The linoleum Pleiades Auratone 5C type cube monitoring speaker is being used while experimenting


While experimenting I (quiescent current through speaker is about 330mA). Voltage across speaker is about 1.2V.
