Updates to the Pleiades K117 220R single JFET dynamic microphone preamplifier adaptor for iPhone, iPad, mobile phones etc

At your risk.

My apologies.

It is possibly out of phase.

It is a bit harder to take notice by hearing on headphones while singing or speaking as there is a latency (time delay) on my iPad.

The reason for the out of phase is that a single common source amplifier is an inverting amplifier, this means when voltage rises at the gate (input) the voltage at the drain (output) decreases.

At the Pleiades lab most K117 preamplifier prototypes built seem to be out of phase.

For example the K117 built inside a female XLR is out of phase. This was confirmed by connecting between mic and preamp an XLR barrel phase reverse adaptor. The 2,3 pins should be reversed and preferably a new preamp be made.

The Sennheiser MD421HN K117 preamplifier built inside the mini Tuchel connector seems to out of phase too as the microphones sounds with reduced bass and strange sound. A new prototype has to be created by reversing the connections inside the mini Tuchel connector. The middle pin is a common audio ground, let's hope it will work.

Possibly a reason why GarageBand was not used for such long time. It is rediscovered by Zhanna and me. On the following only the photo is AI generated:
