Increasing sustain of Granton Glockenspiel part 2


The old rubber tubes were removed.


Short already cut neoprene sleeves bought from Canford were used as support for each metal bar.


This was done by removing each back plastic cup. Piecing the neoprene tube through each nail base. Then cleaning carefully old rubber deposits and dirt from metal bar with methylated spirit and replacing metal bar, fiting back caps. Doing this for every note. Somewhat tedious. It took some hours.


It sounds nice.
