Full of figured bass code including 7ths of course creating major sevnth chords.
For example flute plays high D when bass is C creating a 9th interval (with respect to bass).
Other example, guitar passes from G when bass is A flat creating an A-flat major seventh chord.
Key is C minor. Ie all E, G, A are flat.

The key is C sharp minor and not C minor.
This explains how it sounds so mysterious.
