The 5in full range drive unit is monted deliberately of center so as to create asymmetry.
Just now the back of the box has been opened while listing to
Interlude - Siouxie, Morrissay
Vocal sound become unfocused and resonant in a wrong fussy way.
So back to closed back, infinite baffle.
Now listening to To France - Mike Oldfield
Not sounding as good as expected. But it is the first time noticed that in verse the bass plays a 5ths pattern. Si Fa# Si.......Si Fa# Si etc.
Later addition:
ABBA sound very clear but somewhat thin which may be the case with other systems.
The bass guitar on the other hand for example on ABBA can be very clearly heard with deep bass and detail from the back side of the carton box.
The other sides of the box radiate mostly mid irregularity nastiness presumably from standing waves.
