A few decades ago it had been much easier to extract oil.
Cause it had been less scarce.
Energy had been cheaper.
Quality of life possibly better.
Sourcing of quality manufacturing materials possibly cheaper.
Perhaps...
Manufacturers were more listening than measuring.
