The MD441 is understandably one if not the best dynamic microphone on the planet.
But how much are dynamic (moving coil) microphones underestimated...
Once the bass, mid bass mud from proximity effect is removed by a parallel inductor like the Pleiades filter...
one is left with the best mid range and treble mankind could possibly get.
Of course the high frequency boost is not needed as one now has as much treble can be dreamed of and of the best quality as moving coil microphones are tuned to mid range rather than condensers which are tuned at a very high frequency and ribbons at a a very low frequency.
So is this how this amazing Tell me Lies - Fleetwood Mac timbre is produced?
