Attention to Phase

When conducting such Pleiades microphone and headphone experiments phases is very important.


Positive presure on the microphone diaphragm sould produce positive pressure on the heqdphone diaphragm.


If not sound would be very thin by the vector addition of the real acoustic sound and the electronicaly amplified sound.


If it sounds wrong reverse the phases with an XLR to XRL arrangment. (Xternal Live Return).


For some reason the Sony TC0D5 Pro used reverses phase. So a wrongly connected (phase reversing) XLR to XLR barrel adaptor is almost always connected at its input.
