It is interesting to read on electron tube textbooks the curves of anode current vs cathode temperature. This is shown for diode tubes.
Also anode current vs anode voltage with T as a parameter etc.
In the graph of page 61, Connor it can be clearly seen that at low anode potential the current does not depend on cathode temperature as we are in the space charge limited region and not in the temperature limited region.
On Spangenberg page 171 the anode current is shown to vary with cathode temperature but a little compared to when the anode voltage is high.
