A great song in B minor key

Et si tu n' existais pas - Joe Dassin

A definite addition to the Pleiades playlist.

The B minor (Si minore) key or scale is possibly the most beautiful on our planet. It defines beautiful chords.

(It has all C notes sharp and all F notes sharp.)

For example when the code is G7 we play G bass and B D F#. Ie G maj 7th.

When the code is E7 we play E bass and G B D or B D G etc. Ie E minor 7th. Beautiful chords.

In the beginning Joe Dassin sings a lot of Cs ie C sharps. Since the bass is B (B to C is 9 natural or white notes) he beautifully defines the interval of 9th. While he sings et si tu n'existais pas...

Canelina the cat was raised while this song was playing on a Grundig transistor record player wooden console.

Si mineur for some strange reason sounds so beautiful...

It is no coincidence that J. S. Bach choose B minor to write his B minor mass.
