Does listening in mono help transcribing or distiguishing multiple voice parts?

Strange as it seems it may not be strange after all.

One speaker is a point source.

2 speakers may create an interference pattern. Like throwing 2 peddles on a lake.

Listening in mono to Endless Love - Dianna Ross, Lionel Richie through a very natural sounding setup (Pleiades 2N3053 - Philips AD5046N) the 2 voices can be understood separately or sung.

Would professional transcribers such as Irena Valentinova (for example transcribing Vangelis, Hatzidakis music) find it easier to transcribe with a high quality mono setup?
