The VF14 is deliberately underheated in the Neumann U47.
So should the EF14 but possibly more so on the Pleiades V6 operating with just 4 volts on the anode circuit.
It should be possible to use other tubes in the Telefunken EF1x family, especially a vari mu. A drawback is the non EF14, VF14 types do not have a high transconductance. So far electron tubes that have oersted beautifully with the Pleiades V6 amplifier are the EF183 and the Nuvistor 7586. The ECC82 operates greatly on Pleiades V2, V3 so it should too on Pleiades V6.
