The first 100 milliwattes are very important

Paraphrasing the famous Neslon Pass for 1 W.

It cannot be overemphasized how important is Nelson Pass' statement that the less active components the less distortions are multiplied in order. See Nelson Pass patent's discriptions etc.

Now listening to Ray of Light - Madonna CD album though the Pleiades 2N3055 one transistor and one bias resistor amplifier feeding the linoleum Pleiades Auratone 5C type near field or even far field monitoring speakers. Bias is adjusted for even less power out. See yesterday's post on fine tuning.

Sometimes 100mW may be the only milliwatts. The sound can be so good that perception expands making our brain even happier in volume compared to whatever else.

It is beautiful sounding music that counts.
