At your risk.
Grid at space potential.
It is done by connecting nothing to grid except a good quality coupling capacitor. The grid instaed of being forced to assume a given potential with side effect grid current, is left free to assume the potential dictated by nature on the given external conditions. Obviously for example safe anode current must not be exceeded so anode potential has to be kept relatively low. This can be a reason why this method may not be useful for say a power amplifier driving a speaker to louder levels.
Is very promising.
Very low noise. (there is also a reference on an older euroelectron post).
Is useful not only for pre or pre preamplifiers but for a line output stage, see previous posts.
Particularly useful when anode voltage is in the range of say 12V to 48V.
Makes very simple and effective bias arrangement for direct heated electron tubes such as D (DC, DF, DK etc) series (grid leak or even Vc is a possibility too) for portable battery powered electron tube equipment, eg reel to reel recorder?!
