Approaching the spectacular brightness of The Power of Love vocal part 2

Continued from part 1:

Today the VP64 and 33-1070 were reconnected feeding the Pleiades (130Ω,40mH) filter before feeding the preamplifier.

Then the Beyerdynamic M260 N.80 ribbon microphone was connected. The increase of smoothness and detail at high end is spectacular. The Fostex M55RP printed ribbon coil microoihne was connected too and it sounded great, smooth with extended HF detail, more mid high than M260 but of great smooth quality.

Perhaps so far the closest to the vocal register on the actual song is the Beyerdynamic M260 N.80

Signal path:

Male voice singing The Power of Love - FGTH at the correct F minor key - Beyerdynamic M260 N.80 at 2in - Pleiades (130Ω,40mH) - Sony TC-D5 Pro - Sennheiser HD580

Without the Pleiades gentle slope high cut filter the sound is bass and mid heavy.

Fostex M88RP and Sennheiser MD421HL are to be tried.
