Linoleum pyramid or poly cylindrical absorbers, diffusers

A couple of pyramids were made about a decade ago with linoleum.

The idea of pyramids comes by watching an original photo with (wooden) pyramids at walls of Columbia EMI Studio 3 Athens (1936). The silver (argent) photo had been bought from the original photographer (Megaloikonomou). His archive is now at Benaki Museum in Athens and includes at least a set of photos from the first studio of EMI in Athens.

Linoleum pyramids are made by drawing a pentagon on the linoleum sheet, then cutting trough the lines at a small depth, say 1mm. Then bending and thermo gluing the ends.

The idea of poly cylindrical shapes comes of Alton Everest books, photos of Abbey Road reverb chamber showing (possibly drain pipes) and a similar photo from a BBC reverb chamber shown in a Briggs book. See older posts.

By the way one day drain pipes were found nearby and brought inside a small bare room. They were placed at various places on the wooden floor. The sound was amazing as a reverberation chamber. Very even or sweet decay of sound.
