An interesting low voltage ECL82 power amplifier

At your own risk.

Any voltage can be dangerous. Take all safety precautions.

A very nice circuit.

Perhaps using a step up transformer the first stage can be eliminated.

For less anode voltage Pleiades bias or pull up bias can be used. Then perhaps the input transformer will not be needed. Would an EF183 electron tube be suitable? See the Pleiades V6 mic booster schematic.

If a great Philips AD5046N high Z speaker is used the output trasformer can be eliminated. This speaker can sound great even at 6mA quiescent current. The speaker can be the anode load itself.

See also the Pleiades 2N3053 power amp with 6mA passing through the speaker and a great sound in class A operation (electron flowing all the time) eve through the voice coil itself.
