Try to answer yourself before reading the answers. Answers are not always correct anyway. Try to find for yourself by playing together on a keyboard.

In what key is it written?

Where is the 4th in the melody?

There is also a 9th in the melody, where?

Where is the pedal bass?

What are the 2 chords alternating with the (steady) pedal bass.

Answers:

The key is D minor. And this is why the song starts with bass D (Re).

The soprano voice sings G (sol) so it is an interval of 4th.

The melody only goes to E (Mi) creating an interval of 9th.

The pedal bass is D.

One of the chords is D minor.

Then keeping the bass D the chord changes to A minor? Or C major? Or both, A minor 7th?

Find for yourself.
