Is it possible to create a continuous re recording that contains extracts of pieces of music from centuries ago till now?
Using for example same chords to fade in to the piece that follows.
The objective may be to show the similarities and evolution of music across the past few centuries. As well as the different production techniques.
For example starting with Palestrina to Bach, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Wagner, Jazz, Ravel, Phil Spector, Pink Floyd, Gazebo, Falling from Grace - The Gentle Waves, In my Memory - Tiesto, To get Lucky - Duft Punk, and back to 80s The Power of Love - Frankie Goes to Hollywood.
Or Aquarious - the 5th dimension, To get Lucky, pause, Qui Tollis - Bach (Mass in B minor)
Qui Tollis is a great example of music written hundreds of years ago and having the usual sophisticated chords that good pop music uses. It starts with D6, E7, A9. The key is B minor so all C and F are sharp. Therefore D6 is D major 6th, E7 is E minor 7th, A9 is A minor 9th.
Ie
D bass and D F# B
E bass and D G B
A bass and B C E B
7hs and 9ths are prepared.
