It's very gentle low cut or high pass confirmed the need of Fletcher Muson, voice effort curve compensation even on omnidirectional microphones. It may remind the a nit of the curve of an SM58, (needs to be checked).
In fact the Grampian DP4/L is possibly the only microphone so far tested that achieves flat frequency response from producer's brain to listener's brain.
Trying to achieve the same gentle bass reduction from the excellent Sennheiser MD211 the Pleiades R,L filter came to existence. Just an inductor in series with a resistor connected to pins 2,3.
Under our nose.
The Pleiades 130Ω, 40mH has just been connected to the legendary Sennheiser MD441 and then directly to Sony TC-D5 pro XLR much input. Unbelievable amazing sound.
