All hands on desk

Is this why vocal echo amount for example is variable on such master songs such as Moonlight Shadow - Mike Oldfield?

Were Mike Oldfiled and Simon Philips hands in desk while mixing?

Is it the same for Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd?

Playing the mixing desk may be like playing an instrument, a performance in itself.

There is a documentary called Making the Datk Side of the Moon. It cannot be remembered what was said about it.

Stekios Giannakopoulos, sound engineering at Columbia EMI Athens, says he would constantly gain ride, his attention for example on the vocal part. In real time, recoding direct to stereo or mono.

Nice days when engineers would know how to read a score too.

It is not too difficult, it is like learning a new language.

A trick may be for example to listen to Concerto d' Araguez while watching the full conductor's score. Music libraries are great for doing this.

Rodrigo could not see when he wrote this masterpiece.
