A great example of Elvis voice sounding correct to listener's brain

Can't help falling in love - Elvis Presley

It was played today by Hellenic radio and listened through the great Sanyo M-G32 80's Walkman radio and Sennheiser HD580 studio quality reference headphones.

It was very evident that there was not any low frequency band content that sound boomy or unnatural to listener's brain.

How was it done?

Possibly by having great bass (membrane?) absorbers in the studio.

By using a great RCA 44 or 77DX ribbon or Electro-Voice RE15 moving coil microphone? No matter which mic was used they all have the option of an inductor in parallel with the mic's output (Pleiades filter) to cut proximity and more perceived bass to listener's brain.
