They give a very lively bright sound. Possibly directly from the CPU, (quick on and offs?). A piezoelectric coin size transducer produces the acoustic wave.
It was sampled to iPad GarageBand. 2 beep beeps were sampled as one file and then played an octave lower.
The note was a highish warm A.
The following chord sequence was used. In Bach figured bass notation...

So the A beep produces an G9th and the 3rd of F major 7th on the second and third chords respectively.
Nice futuristic sound.
