Can an electronic musical instrument be made that consumes no electricit?

A piano does not need to be connected to the mains. Yet it sounds loud. And expressive. This is technology.

It uses the energy from the player. The player gets the chemical energy from food. Food gets the energy from the sun.

Can an electronic synthesizer be made where below each key is a small Dynamo. The Dynamo produces a voltage according to how hard or quick the player hits the key.

Each key is connected to an electrical tuned filter, L for inductor C for capacitor. Or has a one transistor LC oscillator.

The voltage from each key drives each oscillator.

Or there may be a white noise generator feeding all keys. And the tuned resonant filter for each note makes the note itself.

The advantage is that each key is independently tuned. So one could have octaves slightly larger than x2 which sound correct to the brain as a good piano does.

Still energy is needed for the white noise generator. Though not much.

And energy is still needed for the amplifier.

All notes could be connected to a JFET high Z in preamp which does not consume much at all.

But still a power amp is needed. Perhaps a Pleiades class A one 2N3055 single ended power amp. But still this consumes 2-3 watts.

Pipe organs do need power supply. In fact Bach was waking up his trusted friends to get to the church to move by their body the air supply so that he could play and all could enjoy.
