The A4 size paper invented by Leonardo da Vinci?

Was it invented by Leonardo da Vinci.?



It has the property to retaining the ratio when it is folded in 2. What is this ratio? Having to do with the golden ratio. A3 looks exactly the same to 2 A4, A2 the same to 2 A3 joined etc.
