A sort of hack for the Yamaha PSS-480

While trying to play...
Veridis Quo - Daft Punk

on Yamaha PSS-480

The flute voice was chosen.

But it sounded one octave above and very shrill.

Then transpose -12 was used.

The sound came one octave down without moving the playing hand.

When the left hand was used just to the left for chords or harmony it was noticed that it sounds much more smooth and gentle than playing one octave down with no transpose! No sticking out sound nastiness although the fundamental frequency of the notes in both cases is the same.
