Is the first bass of The Captain of Her Heart - Double, D flat?

Although the right hand is based on B flat minor.

His left hand an be clearly seen hitting the D flat black note;)

So the bass plays the 3rd of the bB minor 3rd chord.

So this creates a 6th with respect to bass or the interval bD bB. An interval of major 6th. All also because all F are natural in the scale of B flat minor the third with respect to bass is major ie bD F. So D6 in Bach's notation is the chord bD F bB or bD major 3rd major 6th.

And then just before singing bass becomes bB, creating the bB minor 3rd chord, amazing.

It was way past midnight.

And then the bass becomes step down bass with the usual Bach's code so that 6th, 7th is prepared to listener's brain:
B it was way past
A6 midnight, and she
G7 couldn't fall asleep

Remember all B, D, E, G, A are flat since the scale or key is B flat minor.

At ""couldn't" fall asleep" for example he sings F while bass is G flat creating the amazing sounding interval of major seventh. Amazing song.

At chorus most notes become natural with bass C then bass A then bass A flat then bass B flat. A part on synth keeps playing G natural throughout so code created is C, A7, bA7, bB6. So all unusual intervals are prepared for the human brain and Therfore sounding amazing. At 2:14 for example.
