(Later addition: The linoleum triagle pyramid speaker may have a less flat frequency response than the linoleum cube Auratone 5C type speaker. More experiments needed.)
Today while opening the triagular pyramid to replace smelly contemporary cable from who knows where it was found that there was a cold joint to the Tesla speaker.
A vintage speaker cable has been soldered carefully.
Then speaker was connected to the just very very few watts amplifier of JVC radio and listening to radio. This amp is somewhat giving more bass to compensate smaller speaker losses.
Sound is amazing.
Some kind of mid high reasonance mentioned on previous posts disappeared.
The sound is somewhat like a direct link from amp to brain, very intelligible.
Immediatly mistakes in production can be clearly heard. Especially in the balance and frequency content of vocal.
Bad acoustics in certain radio station studios.
Ignorance of the Fletcher Munson (equal loudness) curves when tracking vocals in modern Hellas.
In any type of music including symphonic, each melody line can be clearly heard in the presence of so other melody lines and the notes understood.
Sound is loud while listening around many rooms.
Intelligibility is preserved at large listening distance.
