Is it better to connect a load resistor in shunt with primary of output transformer?

It has not been tried yet on Pleiades experiments.

For example connecting a Canford Neutrik red 1/4in jack high Z to low Z transformer in shunt with anode resistor without using a coupling capacitor. Caution. At your risk. The Pleiades V1 just operates with 1.2V including the anode circuit. Anode current is very low too. (Also a suitable fuse must always be connected in series with a battery for safety).

The shunt resistor can reduce gain and increase bandwidth if that is needed. (This may make a mic sound bass or treble heavy).  Of course a lower value shunt resistor can be only connected to the secondary for a similar effect?
