Is a few transistor BTE analog hearing aid still possible or viable?

Perhaps using a few JFETs or bipolar transistors operating in class A (electrons flowing all the time). Or nanotubes?

Something that is of as good quality as the best studio microphone chain or signal path.

For example:

Instead of the cheap electret mic a nice Sennheiser small moving coil mic.

Then a tiny input trasformer made of a ring tape wound nanocrystaline core. Eg Magnetec Nanoperm.

Then feeding a JFET.
So far it must be the lowest noise and purest sounding signal.

Then driving a darligton, or 2 transistor stages. The output stage have the headphone coil directly connected to the collector as prior excellent art. See also Pleiades 2N3053 amplifier.

Everything operating for days? with just a modern 1.5V battery.

Can modern semiconductors cope with temperature variations and body heat without the need of much DC feedback needed 59? years ago?

Perhaps a few transistors added for automatic gain control?

Or FM type or even magnetic recording type preemphasis, post emphasis for rounding of peak limited occasions in waveform...

Are Orban FM optimod patents used on hearing aids and if not why not?

Mike Oldfiled creates one of the best electric guitar sounds on the planet by such preemphasis postemphasis techniques.

Why not giving hearing impaired the best sound?

They need it most, more than others.
